Our take
Crown on Darby is the modern apartment base I would choose in central Newcastle for a family or couple. Spacious living areas, a balcony or terrace and luxury toiletries lift the stay, and local attractions are a short walk away. An 8.8 score from 1,801 guests is strong. The Hunter Valley vineyards need a drive, so it works as a city base for day trips rather than a vineyard retreat.
