CQ Motel Gladstone
Highly rated rooms with seasonal garden pool
About this stay
CQ Motel Gladstone earns its high ratings on fundamentals rather than extras: guests consistently praise room cleanliness and bed comfort, the two details that matter most after a long day driving the Bruce Highway. The seasonal outdoor pool in a lush garden setting is a genuine bonus in warmer months, though it is worth confirming opening dates before booking outside peak season. Free on-site parking, air conditioning and a work desk cover a practical stay without apartment-style extras, and the 1.8-kilometre distance to Gladstone Marina keeps the harbour within a short drive rather than a walk. This is a straightforward motel built around getting the everyday basics reliably right for every guest who checks in.

Our take
Suits travellers who prioritise a clean, comfortable room and reliable service over apartment-style space or harbour proximity, particularly road-trippers stopping for the night. The seasonal pool is a bonus rather than the main draw. Families wanting a kitchen for a longer stay, or anyone wanting to walk straight to the marina, will find better-matched properties elsewhere on the Gladstone shortlist.
- ✓Confirm the outdoor pool is open for the season before booking outside the warmer months, it runs seasonally rather than year-round.
- ✓Book here if room cleanliness and bed comfort matter more than extras, guests consistently rate both highly.
- ✓Use the free on-site parking if driving through on the Bruce Highway rather than searching for street parking.
